Contract work

Contract lifecycle

The contract status changes through the lawyer’s actions, not by editing a field. At every transition, the system checks the conditions and creates the right deadlines.

What’s inside

  • Nine statuses: draft, under approval, approved, being signed, active, expiring, executed, terminated, not concluded.
  • Versions from the editor, from a .docx or .pdf file, from the counterparty or from a template, with line-by-line comparison of any two versions.
  • A bilingual contract opens in two columns so that matching provisions sit side by side.
  • When a contract takes effect, deadlines for expiry, non-renewal notice and obligation fulfillment are created.
  • Amount, VAT rate, governing law, deferred payment and mandatory pre-trial procedure feed into approval routes.
  • Termination records the grounds, date, document and settlement terms.

FAQ

Can we migrate contracts that are already signed?

Yes. A version is uploaded as a .docx or .pdf file, the signed copy is added as a scan, and deadlines are created when the contract is moved to the “Active” status.

Does the requester see the contract amount?

Reading a contract and viewing amounts are separate permissions. A requester can see the status of their contract without amounts, and a confidential contract is open only to people on an explicit list.
